Worship at First Christian Church
Every Sunday at 10 am, we gather for worship led by talented musicians and worship leaders from the Revelation Praise Team. Our music blends both traditional and contemporary styles.
During our services, you might hear the adult choir sing or enjoy a performance by the Puppet Ministry. Plus, our interactive, Bible-based sermons offer a chance for meaningful reflection.
As part of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) denomination, we practice baptism by immersion and celebrate weekly communion at the open Lord’s table.
Families are welcome! We have a children’s moment during worship, and a Family Room next to the sanctuary for parents who need extra space.
Come as you are! Casual dress is the norm, and our goal is joyfulness.
We can’t wait to welcome you as we worship a loving God and a risen Savior at First Christian Church!

Coffee Fellowship
Coffee Fellowship is the delightful time after our worship service when congregants come together for informal conversations, refreshments, and community building.
It’s a chance to connect with one another over delicious treats—both sweet and healthy—alongside desert and refreshments.
And if you have baking skills, feel free to share your culinary creations!”

“Yay! In Newton, Iowa, the Looms of Love program is making a delightful difference!
This heartwarming resourcefulness program involves the entire community. Coming together to create sleeping mats for those who find themselves homeless. Volunteers process plastic shopping bags into these durable mats, providing comfort and warmth to those in need. It’s like a cozy hug wrapped in recycled love! And guess what?
You can join the mission coalition on Mondays from 1pm- 3pm at the First Christian Church in Newton, where we work on creating these mats. Your contribution could make a significant impact!
Let’s weave some kindness together!
